We, The Net

I guess anything that hopes to start a movement needs to hype itself quite a bit, people are dense enough that if you don’t put something in front of their face and smash it into their mouth over and over again you probably won’t actually get their attention, I guess that is probably the reason why politics is all self-hype and I guess sometimes there are good ideas out there that should be shared despite the darkness of the means.

I may be a jaded individual, and I certainly have a habit of turning off sections of my psyche to focus on others, but I know that something that makes this all tick is something that makes me tick, too, something that makes many people like me tick.

Some of us have names, though sometimes I feel like those of us who do are sacrifices to grease the wheels, and some of us don’t care to be known. We are part of this world, but we see with a new type of eyes.

Oh em gee, I am soo cool.

Hmmmm…as I am fully aware of the grotesqueness of the self-hype here, I hope you also know that there is a great deal of tongue-in-cheek going on with this project.

And, Mr. Andy, I am more interested in historical recordings than pushing hype…and that is what the bratpack2.0 is all about. Writing a history. As the ‘title’ suggests, “by us. about us. for us.”, it will probably only ever be consumed by us and pushed mercilessly on our grandchildren who will cry, “Egad, not that again!” in horror when we reminisce about the ‘good ole days’.

Seriously…or maybe not so seriously…eff seriously…I hate serious. This is a totally narcissistic, fun, silly, whatever project. Don’t take it so seriously, man.

C’mon…I know you wanna be part of the brat pack…;)
